I am regular here. Love the coffee, I think it's the best in town. Love the customer service, all the Barista's know me and remember my customized order. Highly recommend

Great coffee and great service! Strange Matter is often renowned for their donuts, but personally, I'm not a huge fan of them. I also wish they offered more of other types of pastries, such as croissants and bagels. I would give 4.5 stars, but not possible to do .5, so gave 5 stars.

This place is NICE, great addition to Lansing. All vegan donuts & pastries that vegans and non vegans can appreciate. Hip , chill vibe inside, ambiance is great but the filled donuts and the Nola coffee,,,, omg to die for....totally worth the price.

Strange Matter has such a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere! We love stopping in to grab a pastry and coffee or hanging out at a table to study for a while. Truly no other vegan donuts compare to the ones found here! Everyone back home loves supporting Strange Matter as well and are so thrilled when I am able to bring one of the signature pink boxes back with me! Much love from Indiana!

The star of the show at this establishment is the HOMEMADE VEGAN POP-TARTS!!!!! We bought the berry one then had to buy the lemon one after gobbling down the first! Their homemade syrups in the coffee were great- and the coffee was just the right strength. Love that this business is owned by LGBTQ women! The only feedback I have is adding a price tag to the stickers at the counter- the stickers at the counter weren’t priced- therefore I assumed they were free (as businesses often have free stickers at their register) and was embarrassed when I was told they weren’t after shoving one in my purse. Still a 5 star review.

Stopped on Halloween on my way through town and had a great experience! Got a Cortado for there and an iced latte for the road, and both were great! They also had a great selection of spooky themed donuts in addition to the clearly big normal selection and the one I got was delightful as well. Staff was super friendly on top of that. Would happily come again!

Absolute best Cortado I’ve ever had!!!!!! It’s the same delicious and perfect blend and flavor every single time!!! If you have a developed palette for good coffee, this is the best place to go in Lansing! Also best black brewed coffee! And, it’s not just the best because we’re in Lansing. I’ve traveled all the US to big cities, and Strange Matter would hold its own in any of those cities as well! Thanks friends for your dedication to the craft and sharing it with us!

One thing I always appreciate about a city is their ability to play host to quality coffee shops. I must say Strange Matter is the best Lansing and it’s surrounding areas has to offer. Unfortunately, they don’t really have to compete against much other than Blue Owl coffee, who doesn’t even roast their own beans. I usually come to strange matter to get a bag of their single origin beans and a fresh vegan donut. I am always impressed by the colorful and creative flavors of donut they have. I also love that they give you a complimentary cup of coffee with the purchase of a bag of beans. I haven’t had a reason to enjoy their large open seating area yet but, from the looks of it, there’s many seating options to either enjoy a book on your own, get some work done, or catch up with friends.
